Palm is giving WebOS developers one last chance to join it’s Early Access Program before the app store is live in December 2009. Emails have been sent out asking interested developers to email back with the following information:
Your contact information (include name, e-mail, phone)
Username for webOS developer portal
For each webOS application you plan to submit, provide the following details:
- App name and description
- Business model for your app (free; paid; ad-supported)
- Palm webOS services with which your app integrates (e.g., location based services, calendar, contacts, notifications/alerts, etc.)
- ipk or representative screen shots of your app
This means you must have some sort of working app to sign up for this Early Access Program, in return Palm will give you a dedicated account manager and they will waive the application fee charging just $5 for the paypal verification / activation.
A fuller list of benfits are:
- Featured placements in the application catalog
- Direct marketing campaigns to device owners
- Palm’s website, blogs, and newsletters
- Palm’s launch activities for new device, country launch, etc.
This seems like a good opportunity if you are a WebOS developer and want to get in before everyone else does.
