The Palm Pre uses network time , the time set by your mobile phone network to set the date/time etc on your phone. This is brilliant as there is no need to keep setting or changing the time like the old non-smartphones. This feature is particular great for time changes when the clocks go backwards and forwards here in the UK, which was the weekend before last.
When I switched my Pre on in the morning (NO I don’t leave it on the touchstone all night), it was all fine. However I started getting the above screen at least 2 or 3 times during the next couple of days. I took a screenshot but thought nothing of it and put it down to teething problems with a new phone, however looking over at precentral they have been talking about problems with Pre’s and daylight saving time. These have ranged from the dates of Pre’s being set to 1st December to issues with alarms etc.
I am quite sure the above was caused by some bug in the Pre, although it eventually stop happening.
